I can't do anything to the walls, so that leaves the door.
What would that require? Some rubber/foam things for the cracks? What about a heavier door? Or maybe both? Where do I buy the equipment? How well does every solution insulates the room from sound?

Thanks in advance.

There is a soundproofing vinyl product you can staple to walls and the door.

Also carpeting and this same vinyl with a good carpet pad.

All in all, foam ear plugs are cheaper. Sorry, I'm not being crass, I lived with a noisy house too and now wish I had had the earplugs back then.

If you can't do the wall, then getting a solid door is the next best thing. You can buy rolls of sticky foam tape or something like that at any home depot or lowes cheap enough.

Try hanging carpet or thick tapestries or something on the wall next to the living room.

Also, if you're desperate, try insulating the ceiling above one or both rooms a little better, but that won't do much if the wall is uninsulated.

Paper egg cartons (empty of course), the 2 1/2 dz type. Stick them on the wall, thats what we used to do when we were younger.
