Normal traps with something sugary and sweet on should get them fine?

yes they are very clever , but if you keep asking them to stay for lunch then they will keep coming . Mice only live where there is a fresh supply of food , try and keep you food stores high up put things in tight fitted containers , sweep the kitchen floor before going to bed empty the garbage at night . If you have a dog or cat make sure you take any food they have left behind away, don´t leave any of your pets food under the kitchen sink ,mice eat anything and every thing they eat soap, candles, plant bulbs and much more. I can suggest you buy bigger traps and for bait use Spanish Chorizo sausage or any kind of strong smelling salami. This we found to be the best bait to catch them. Also try and look for there droppings ,if they are of small size then it´s mice but if they are of big size it´s rats which means you have a problem . So best get professional help

I take the trap and load peanut butter on it. I put it on the top and the bottom of the trigger. When I set the trap, I'm careful to just barely set the wire on the trigger so the slightest movement will trip it. When I fully set the wire on the trigger, I've found that the mice will lick off the peanut butter but not trip it. I've had a good success rate.

for an insane criminal method, inject poison into a bit of cake.
for a method used by many americans, buy a cat.

alternatively, a very intelligent electronic trap. you may need to buy the componants...

place a bit of cake under a box, held up with a stick. wire up a circuit with a lazer, a motor and a battery. attach a string to the motor and the stick. when the lazer is broken, the motor will wind, and the stick will be pulled away.

one down...

Normal trap with a nice peace of cheese.burn the cheese with a lighter or a candle so it will smell and the mice will run in.

We have got a thing that plugs into a socket and emits some kind of sound they don't like. We also had the traps with poison in. Took a while but we got them all in the end.

An electronic mouse trap is the best way. You just plug it in near the area you think they are coming in from, it emits a noise that humans cannot hear but drives mice away, and it works on other pests too.........and no that does not include your partner!

Build a better mousetrap! Just kidding, but I kow mice don't like moth balls. They also have devices sold in hardware/department stores that give off an annoying sound that only rodents can hear. They used to advertise this product on tv but not anymore.

small bits of peanut butter around the trap. place the trap

Why do you have to kill them? Nowadays there are traps which do not kill the mice and you can then take them to the fields and then re home them. You will, of course, need to put some nuts, cheese or they love chocolate into the trap to attract them. You need to make sure that the areas they are frequenting are free from food that will attract them. Don't kill them!
