What does the K stand for when law school students discuss contract class?

K is simply an acronym used in place of "contract." It is used because it is easier to identify than C and law school professors are too lazy to write out "contract."

K is the shorthand letter for referring to the entire contract.

Why is it K and not C? Who knows. Maybe to not confuse it with Copyrights.
