I understand Shakespeare said it, but it sounds like a latin phrase too. Any info on the quote would be great!

Quid praeteritum prologus est

Edit #1 - previous answer's "antea" is an adverb and translates "previously, formerly, before,in the past"

Quid antea prologus est.


ADDED: The translation of 'antea' below is absolutely correct and conveys the meaning intended. Could have written 'Quid antea est prologus est'. but I really don't think any Roman would use two est's that close together.
