What difference does it make how long the fantasy lasts? You have been dumped. Accept it and move on. Just be sure to learn from your lessons so that you don't repeat any mistakes you made in the future.

Like marriage it will last until one of them get tired of the game. Affairs are usually underhanded and secretive and no one escapes without scars. I know how you feel been there, from what I have seen from this. An affair is a committed relationship - as twisted as that seems it is a relationship. My wife when out of her way to tell me that she had finally realized that the guy was no good, that it was him calling her after they so called broke it off. But come to find out it she was calling, going to see him & still sleeping with him. Both parties are already practicing deceit and therefore will not trust each other in the future, which in turn puts a strain on this so called relationship. I can't tell you what to do, just have to follow your heart. Or like someone said "just have to let go and live for yourself and not someone else".

I'm sorry to hear about that but things happen for a reason I know I have been where you are and still there but I'm kind of enjoying the backlash that my ex is receiving from the psycho he left me for. I'm not sure if he ever did enjoy a fantasy with her but the nightmare has set in. So please focus on getting your head straight, your heart healed and let God take care of her or Karma(sometimes both). You will be fine and if things work out with you guys then it works, if it doesn't, who's to say that you won't have a new blessing around the corner.

Don't put your life on hold because there is a possibility of her some day wanting to be back with you. That day may never come and if it did, things would never be the same.

Quit wallowing in self pity. Get up, dust yourself off and go find a hottie. Oh, FYI, hit the gym dude and tone up, plus spruce up that wardrobe, ok?

Usually, the big thrill in a pending affair lasts until shortly after the sex. Most of the excitement is the "build-up" to the big event. Most cheaters say they had better sex with their spouse than with a fling. I hope you're not waiting for her to come back to you. That ship's already sailed, my friend.

The fantasy could last a few months or years. People who cheat will end up cheating again or be cheated on. Then you will have the last laugh. Just give it time. Good riddance to her.

sorry bud, been there, cheaters are always cheaters, grass will be greener again and she will cheat or her coworker will cheat. As for time period? hmmm it depends. Best thing is not to think about it and get back into the game for yourself

I don't know, but my wife of 24 years had an affair that lasted about four years. Now she and the "other man" are planning on marrying. Part of me wants it to fail miserably the other part is trying its damnedest not to notice (can you guess who's winning?).

I told you man. Women are not to be trusted. You gave her 17 years and for what? From now on, get with as many hotties as possible and only use them for their bodies. Its obvious you cannot reason with these illogical beasts of nature.
