it was kind of like dazed and confused, it had stars in it before they were famous kind of. it had a lot of different characters in it and they followed their lives i think in California(it's not a documentry) and they they went to a party and someone killed someone then like two kids commited suicide. i think it came out in like 96

I think you're thinking of Less Than Zero, but that was the 80s it came out.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't Weekend at Bernies

Sounds like either "Go" with Katie Holmes or "200 Cigarettes" with Christina Ricci. "Cigarettes" was a comedy, though. Or could you mean "SubUrbia" with Giovanni Ribisi?

Any other details? Dazed and Confused was about getting high and partying. And no one died.

Was it KIDS? Although, I don't think anyone died in that movie.
