I am having a debate on global warming. What are some arguements that show / prove that mankinds' impact on global warming isnt as big as some environmentalists make it out to be.

Please provide sources. thanks

"Isn't as big," is the problem. If you can show that there is no influence, fine. But you can't. Lessening the degree of which we do damage doesn't really solve anything. Great, we are doing less harm than we thought, but we are still doing harm.

I have carefully listened to both sides of this argument and still haven't heard one good argument to support the theory of mankind be the main cause of global warming. The so called greenhouse gases are literally comprised of only a about 1/4 of a percent of carbon dioxide. This is a science fact and not just a made up fairy tale. Read any NASA report finding of the composition of the atmosphere and the contributions thereof. Reduction of our emiting carbon dioxide does nothing. What caused global warming before man became industialized? What caused the last ice age to end? What caused it to start? When confronted with actual science and fact, the scientists that support this global warming scare have no answer and evade the question every time and literally refuse to keep on topic. Because of their argument having more holes than Swiss Cheese, they refuse to calmly discuss the facts when confronted by other scientists that do not have an agenda of one type or another.
I do think that man needs to curb the pollution that we cause, but that does not give excuse to cause a scare and also misdirect the major causes of pollution.
The far left that promotes so called green friendly cars are total hypocrites. Look at the pollution caused by making these electric cars. To make plastic, computers and batteries, causes vast amounts of pollution. What are you going to do when the thing wears out? You can't rebuild it like I can my 68 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. After a few years, this so called enviromentally friendly car is a piece of junk and is ready for the scrap yard. But I am digressing.

As far as the real major polluters, there isn't anything man can do to stop it, because the main polluters are the 3000 active volcanoes on the surface of the Earth, and that doesn't take into the accoount of the under sea volcanoes. The Great Rift in the Congo is another polluter. And all of these emit all sorts of poisonous gases, such as Sulphuric Dioxide, many types of Cyanides, etc....
The far left have an agenda and don't care what the truth is. Several of the scientists that support this crap are the very same scientists that said in a report that the Earth can not support more than 300 million people and that there should be an elimination of the vast population of people off the planet. These are some of the idiot nut job wackos that are on the far left crying global warming and it is just a waste of energy even trying to discuss anything with them. They don't want to hear the truth. They don't care, they have already made their mind up that mankind is bad.
Look at what happens if someone just posts a scientific fact here. They get a thumb down vote. That is the idiot far left.
They prove my point constantly.
My suggestion is to not get into a debate with idiots that refuse to look at facts and want to believe in fairytales.

By the way, the links that Danny H provided are to sites that belong to some of these nut job idiots that cry the sky is falling. They are the same idiots that couldn't explain the ozone hole shrinking, and this was before any measures were taken against chloroflourocarbons. Research data of the hole shows it to expand and contract over decades. But even with this proof, the idiot nut job wackos on the far left still say that mankind is the cause of the ozone hole that has always existed and always will.
For centuries there have been idiots that have tried to impede man's progress with technology and industry, and these idiots fit into that catagory.

There are many natural sources of green house gases. Methane from from plant decay and animal flatulence has a very strong greenhouse effect.

There is also a well documented long-term carbon cycle. For millennia carbon gets locked away in limestone deposits, that are eventually exposed to weathering by plate tectonics. The Himalayan mountain range is releasing absolutely massive amounts of Co2 into the air all the time.

The fact that the issue is being promoted by a politician who selective disses any info contra to his pov, whould be a warning to all.

What ended the last major ice ages? What ended the last glacial periods? How many of those global warmings were due to man?

Also, which has the greatest probability:
A. That governments are truly concerned about global warming
B. That governments see there is a buck to be made somewhere.

Reading the popular media can lead a person to conclude that "global warming" is:
o- either a hoax to promote business opportunities, politicians agenda and scientists grant money.....
OR
o- a problem related to overpopulation, industrialization and fossil fuels whose solution options lie in solar power, wind power, geothermal power and nuclear fusion....

However, the correct answer may be altogether different:

NASA has released never-before-seen images that show the sun's magnetic field is much more turbulent and dynamic than previously known. The international spacecraft Hinode, formerly known as Solar B, took the images. Hinode was launched Sept. 23 to study the sun's magnetic field and its explosive energy. National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists said the spacecraft's uninterrupted high-resolution observations of the sun are expected to have an impact on solar physics comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope's impact on astronomy. "For the first time, we are now able to make out tiny granules of hot gas that rise and fall in the sun's magnetized atmosphere," said Dick Fisher, director of NASA's Heliophyics Division. "These images will open a new era of study on some of the sun's processes that effect Earth, astronauts, orbiting satellites and the solar system." Hinode is a collaborative mission led by
the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and includes the European Space Agency and Britain's Particle Physics Astronomy Research
Council. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., managed the development of the Hinode's scientific instrumentation provided by industry and federal agencies.

>>> as regards alternative energy methods, I favor development of the technology for nuclear fusion using lunar Helium 3

The methane gas from millions of sheep pooping , in New Zealand, was the major cause of the hole in tyhe ozone layer.

Eventually the ice caps will melt even if there are no men on earth. There were no Ice Caps when the Dinosaurs went extinct. Climate doesn't stand still we are either headed for warming or an ice age.

This is a pretty good public policy site that gives information in a scientific, non conspiracy theory, way. The best arguments that I have personally heard are that the models used to predict trends, such as global warming, are flawed ... and that methane gas produced by cattle are more depleting to the Ozone than human made greenhouse gases ... good luck in your search for answers!

there is one important element interior the international warming debate that has never been studied. the warmth from the mantle of Earth is warming the sea lots yet no person looks to comprehend something approximately how lots the sea is warmed by ability of warmth from interior of. it incredibly is a important element 2d in basic terms to the photograph voltaic flux and lots greater important than the different element and yet no longer something is ever pronounced approximately it. the folk who make comments approximately international warming say that is not any longer lots and not in any respect important yet i think of the polar zone is very much effected by ability of differences interior the warmth that flows from the mantle into the Arctic Ocean. i'm confident the warmth ebbs and flows interior the Arctic from the mantle and that's that warmth that keeps Europe warmer than Alaska. As you comprehend Alaska is greater effected by ability of the Pacific Ocean the place the warmth flux is quite different than interior the Arrctic Ocean. besides, i'm hoping some thing right here would be of use to you in writing your paper and that i'm hoping you get a marvelous grade on it.

Volcanos produce more CO2 in one eruption than man can produce in 25 years.

Go look up info about volcanos, and you'll get the exact facts. But the volcanos emit way more CO2 and animals release more methane gas from their own digestive processes than humans. So while humans contribute to the problem, it is only a small percentage of the problem.

I am an idiot savant therefore I feel more than qualified to debate the issue of global warming. Global warming was inevitiable. Man had little to do with it and can't fix it now. It will happen, the earth will evolve or be no more.
