Girl, trust me, NEVER ever wear make up in your life, not until you're in your 40s. My mother never did and she's in her 40s now, she still looks so so so young and she's still got guys thinking she's single, when she tells them to bugger off cos she has grandchildren they end up fainting lol. I never do make up (I'm 18), and I don't say I'm beautiful, but at least I'm not like those 15 years old chicks that already look like some bloody 30 years old woman because of wearing make up. I'm worse actually, when my mom makes me wear lipstick cos she wants to see what the color looks like, I just throw up because I HATE wearing make up, it makes me feel retarded lol, I don't know why but it does. Tell those stupid cows that "Well atleast I'm not in any complex like you lot, you lot wear make up to hide your ugliness, at least I'm happy with what I look like, you better try to make up your personality too you orgres cos trust me no matter what the make up makes you look like from the outside, you're still ugly from the inside". Oh my days if i was there I swear I would have beaten the crap out of those heffers, no offence but gee they need to get a life! Don't take bullcrap from anyone, who are they to tell you what to do!? Fix them girl! Fix them right!

If you are in retail and deal with a lot of customers, how you present yourself is a reflection of the company you work for. If everyone goes without makeup or their hair done, then people will start getting the impression that the retail store you work for is ......well cheap and dirty.
Also, how you present yourself to your co-workers and superiors will reflect your dedication to your job and future goals (i.e. do you want to be management).
It is sad to say, but people who look presentable and nice get treated better and go further in life.
If you have issues with your skin while using makeup, it is probably because you are using the wrong type for your skin. I use bare essentials and haven't had a breakout in years so you might want to go to the mall and get a facial and make over and try some new things. You don't have to wear a lot of make-up to be presentable.
Once you change your makeup and hair style you will notice you will start feeling better about yourself too!

I would talk to your manager about it--that's harassment. You shouldn't have to put up with that.
On the other hand, there is a point where personal hygeine becomes an issue at work. You do want to have a professional appearance at work, so your hair shouldn't be messy. Makeup, though, is not essential. You're certainly not wrong for choosing not to wear it.
You may want to seriously consider switching jobs; if I were in that situation, I would first talk to my manager and explain the situation. If it doesn't improve in a couple days, I would give my two-weeks' notice with very clear indication of why.
Stick up for yourself! You deserve to be treated with respect in the workplace. It is not a social time.
On a slightly different note, you mentioned breaking out from makeup. I do too! I've only ever found one type that doesn't make me break out (and it lasts all day and doesn't dry out my skin): Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals. I love it! Check it out, if you're wanting to find a makeup that's good for your skin.

What jerks! if you deal with the public you just have to look presentable, that may not necessarily mean wearing makeup. I dont wear makeup every day to work either if i am running late and i dont have time. I would report them too for harrasment, since they are constantly saying you need to wear makeup and that you dont have natural beauty....that is more unprofessional then coming to work with no make up!

Almost everyone can make themselves look at least "a little" better with the help of some lip gloss or blush.
If you work in retail, i feel you should definitely make some effort.
A girl at my office IS naturally pretty, but she wears absolutely no makeup and doesnt look professional. If you have hopes of moving up the corporate ladder, try some lip gloss!
Good Luck!

Wow, what a charming group of women. I must say that they are lacking "natural beauty" if they speak to a fellow human being in that manner.
You do not have to say anything to them because they are not worth the time or effort.
I think that if you feel your best not wearing makeup, then don't wear it. I feel that is a personal choice.
As for the hair, I do feel that is a bit more important. If a person doesn't want to spend too much time on hair every day, then a good cut would fix that problem.
Best luck to you.

Yes they are definitely shallow and jealous by the sound of it.
Just think what they look like without makeup, boring, plain and ordinary. Cant be much real beauty if they have to wear a ton load of it. You have natural beauty which is more appealing to men, dont let them make you feel bad for being yourself.

If you're in retail and dealing with customers, you may want to consider a career change. Customers expect store employees to be "put together" - especially if it's in clothing retail. Being put together includes wearing makeup.
You could also consider wearing a limited amount of makeup. Try a shear foundation that doesn't contain a lot of oils - one designed for oily skin. Or if your skin is clear, just wear a light blush, a bit of eye shadow, curl your lashes and wear a bit of mascara. Curling lashes makes a big difference - you'd be surprised.

You're natural, girl. I think that you shouldn't wear and use make-up. I love a natural face. Anyways, you just call them clowns. If you see they use excessive make-up, simply say, how 'bout a cup of SHUT THE F*** UP, RONALD MCDONALD!. Anyways, is not like that's how they look like beneath all that make-up. Seriously. It ends to destroy your face through time (so I've heard, I don't know, ok?).
So, be you. Don't be listening to them. Next time they tease you, buy a box of Crayola Crayons and say, Hey you need it more than I do to cover your ugly face.
Ok, I said enough here. I hope this helps someway. Peace and Good Luck!

Company image for sales people is everything to some companies. To the girls, my answer would be:
"There's only so much time in a day.....I feel secure in who I am without the war paint.......besides, for me, it's a health issue & I'm allergic."
Do consider just enough color to take off the "plain jane" appearance, maybe lipstick and a dash of color on the cheeks. Management may be a little more tollerant.
I have the same problems you do. Revlon lipsticks, are moisturized, and the only kind I can wear without a reaction, so, I smudge a little on the cheeks too, just to gain a little color. It works for me.
