i have a Belkin wireless g router and it won't connect to my laptop so i don't know what my problem is any sugesstions. thanks!!!

Yes you can as long as your laptop and router support the same a/b/g connections

Yes you can mix and match. They all use the same wireless 802.11a/b/g standard. As long as your card and router have a common one iE: 802.11g

yes you can, i use the basic wireless in an hp computer with an air buffalo router

Yes you can, almost any brand card will work with any brand router once it's configured correctly.
