actually....have you been to Best Buy? Some of the "older" movies...ie. The Wedding Singer, are 9.99....so they arn't crappy movies for 9.99.

And i got 20.00 movies for 9.99...Curious George,Lady in the Water, BarnYard

Because it's a better deal. A movie that is generally $20 is much more appealing when it's on sale for 9.99. And you motionus picturitis. It's a severe disease where you can't help but buy a movie that is on sale. True story.

edit: not really. it just seems like a better deal. cause it is. and movies that are usually 9.99 are either really crappy, or old.

Because a higher priced movie "on sale" for 9.99 has a higher perceived value than one that's usually 9.99.

Probably because the movies that are normally this price without a sale are either not that good or old and you are not interested. If the movie is on sale for this, it is probably a better, more popular movie you are interested in.

Because it is on sale. I buy a lot of DVD's, but only if they are on sale. If a movie is $9.99, I won't buy it until I see it for $6.99, but if a movie is $14.99, I will buy it on sale for $9.99. Does that make any sense?

cause the movies that are always $9.99 are usually crap and the good ones/new releases go on sale it's a bigger deal

usually the movies that are normally cheaper, are not as good or a lot older, so often less appealling.

the ones that will sometimes go on sale for that price are often newer and "better" to the general public.

I think you like things on sale and I don't blame you.
