My paying job does not define me. But being a writer trying to be a published author does define me. So that would be an 8.

My job gets an 8. Im an Executive Assistant for an environmental company. I feel that someone's job does define their success and drive in life. If you're 40 and still working at Taco Bell then something's seriously wrong.

Yes and no. I don't necessarily define people by their jobs. I judge them. But only to the level of being respectable. If they have a job at a strip club, I don't want anything to do with them.

0. Work tells you what about the person? Nothing. Look at Bill Gates he stole Windows idea and is not the richest man on the planet. Does that define him? Peace out.............

I don't think it defines you, you could pick up trash along side of the road, and as long as you do a job, and do it to the best of your ability, that helps shows your character.

I think that men are more apt to do this than women. Anyone who defines themself by their job is in trouble...what happens if you lose that job? Lose that paycheck? My work defines me at about a 2 ---and it is what I really like to do.

and i never judge anyone by the work that they are doing...
