Dude, a weak acid will dissolve iron as long as the active acid which gets consumed during the "eating" of the iron is replenished. The primary difference is that a stronger acid will eat the iron faster since there are simply more of the acid molecules to meet and eat the iron molecules. The solubility of the gas HCl in water is what limits the strength of the solution. Max practical is in the area of 35% HCl. This can be bought at just about any hardware store. CAUTION: Conc HCl is used in the manufacture of many illegal drugs as well as many terrorist devices, so make sure you can explain your uses if asked.... the most common use for high strength HCl is to clean metal surfaces and concrete.

Buy 20 Molar HCl.... If you have a large quantity of a low concentration I wouldn't recommend messing around with it.

Boiling HCl will cause acidic vapor to form and if it comes into contact with your skin or eyes, you will be in serious trouble.

May I ask what the specific application is? There might be a more appropriate solution

Go buy yourself a bottle of concentrated HCl. That should do the trick.
