dinner at Rock Bottom and afterwards going to another restuarant called Tequilas for karakoe. Im 25 and then its going to be 2 co workers that will be going who are 23-25 and then its going to be my boss, 45+, and couple of older ladies. How can I get out of this? Orginially I said I would go but now I dont want to. What practical excuse can I give?

Sorry, Im not going to be able to go, Im not feeling well.
However, we used to all go out and it was ages 21-55...we all had a ball...you might have fun.

Go for dinner since you said you were going but just say that you can't go to Tequila's.
If your boss already made reservations then you should go.
But remember, your boss and the older ladies may really not be so keen on hanging out with a bunch of kids as well : )

Oh, god, i toatlly don't blame you for wanting to get out of this...
House/Apt problems is always a good excuse, "My toliet overflowed and i have to wait for the plumber." Or "My upstairs neighbor's toilet overflowed and leaked through the ceiling and i have to call my landlord, clean up this mess... i don't think i can make it..."
How about, "Ooohhh.. I forgot it's my cousin's birthday that night and i already said i'd have dinner with him! He's coming in from out of town, i really can't reschedule."
You can always fake a health crisis. A minor one that requires a trip to the hospital, but not a stay, and one they won't feel too bad about, and that you won't have to fake later. I got out of a day of work with a pretend ovarian cyst once. (Obviously won't work if you're a guy.) Kidney stones?

Tell them you have an ear infection and have been put on antibiotics. Due to the antibiotics, you cannot have a drink and this would make you feel uncomfortable going into a bar without buying a drink especially during the Karaoke.

I would not go with the boss either, thats just uncomfortable and what if you have a few too many....just say you forgot you had other plans and apologize.

never party with the boss......say you just got a call and a friend is sick and you need to take them to the hospital, you will look compassionate not like a wienie
