I bought the wireless Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 along with the keyboard - bought from Amazon last year and so far I've only had to change the batteries on the mouse once since September (ish) last year. I've yet to change the batteries on the keyboard. Would definitely recommend it - when the batteries are getting low a message flashes up on the screen to warn you so you're not suddenly left without anything.

Buy a "rechargeable mouse".

These usually come with a cradle which plugs into the mains as well as your PS2 port.

When you are not using your mouse, place it in the cradle and it will recharge.
