Yes he made a mistake. No excuse for getting a DUI. But it's not like he killed anyone. I'm sure he feels the worse of anyone for causing this embarrassment. Let's just forgive him. And I'm not a Cardinals fan, but I remember teh good times when he was managing the A's.

I agree with you totally. He is a great baseball manager. His DUI does not diminish that fact. He made a bad judgment call. He is probably much more embarrassed and sick over it than the "fans."

Nobody gave ME the benefit of the doubt when I got pinched for DUI...why should LaRussa get it? Someone COULD have been hurt, that's the point of the law. Having said that, who passes out or falls asleep with a .09? I am at least that drunk right now....

Tony should have driven man kind the benefit of the doubt and called a taxi or had someone pick him up.
It was a "bad call on his part". Managers do that from time to time.

No, celebrities should be under the same legal scrutiny as the rest of us. They're rich enough to pay for a Taxi anyway!
I can personally forgive him, but I don't think our Justice system should.
