It's happened now and she shouldn't have offered to change it if she didn't mean it or think it was so important you shouldn't have agreed to it. She is being childish and after all a DVD is not exactly something really personal that she had searched all over for. It would be a shame to break up a good friendship over a trivial matter, although I admit it doesn't sound trivial to her. I would give it one more try, if too lond to text, email her, write a letter or leave message on her phone. You've done the apologising bit so just tell her no way you meant to hurt her, you thought she was happy with the idea and would hate to think you would loose her friendship through this. That is more than enough grovelling and I would finish off by telling her she now knows how you feel and hope she will contact you and if she doesn't you will realise she doesn't want your friendship anymore. Good luck!!!

If you feel like this friendship is worth it you should keep trying. However, she doesn't seem to value your friendship as much as you. I'd just give her an apology and let her make the next step. You should be ready for some heart break though. It sounds to me like you might be losing a friend.

don't worry about it...i bought my partners grandson an educational toy for his 1st birthday last week and someone else had bought the same thing....so what we did was gave it to his other grandson for his 1st birthday (they were born 10 days apart)...there was no hard feelings between us, your friend is over reacting about this DVD...and should count her lucky stars that your her friend...if she does not answer your calls or texts...just let her sulk till she's over it.....what you should have done is took it back to the shop later on and not said anything to her.....and if she wanted to watch the DVD then all you had to do was got the one your b/f got you and cracked on it was from her, then she would have not known any difference

Wow, that's pretty immature of her. She felt like you were choosing your boyfriend over her so she was offended (even though she was the one that offered, she was hoping you'd ask him to return his). Give her a few weeks (without contact), she'll come around.
