Try a vacuum or a dust buster (hand-held portable vacuum). Another thing you could do would be to get wet rags or towels and wipe away the sand. The sand will stick to the wet rags and come off easier. If you have any wide tape such as packing tape, that is another thing you could try. Take long strips of tape and press it down over the sandy areas. The sand will stick to the tape and will disappear faster. Tape also works for getting lint off of clothes. Good luck!!!

Rent a garden blower, and blow out underneath the hood. The sand should not prevent it from starting, unless someone messed with it while you were not looking, ie: putting sand in the gas tank. Vaccuum the inside of the car out with a portable vac.

I surf. No problem. 1st, take all the rugs out. (I know this sounds strange but I'm serious) find a pole--a tree---something tall and slam the carpet on the pole--or whatever it is. Keep slamming all the carpets.

Get some cleaner--any kind---windex--whatever. Spray it on and wipe it off. It should work.. When you do that, put some freshener on it for a touch of scent.

And for the inside---- Oh. BTW, use some of that foam thing soap instead. And uh....towels. Yeah. Wipe it.

do you have a regular vacum with the extra hose on the side? take that and an extinction cord out to the car and should work

Vacuum the sand out of the car. As far as it not starting......is it low on gas? I have no clue why it won't start.

Hope you get it cleaned before she gets home!

duct tape, a broom, a shovel? how much sand is in there? Seriously, i'd try tape sand will stick to it and it will come out.. but use wide tape like duct tape.. use your hands... try wiping it out.. shake the mats... a wet paper towel?

well, since you can't take it anywhere...

try using playdough-sand will stick to it and you can rinse and reuse. or ticky-tack. or duct-tape. or something like that.

don't rule out a good old fashioned broom and dust pan (or paintbrush & stiff paper)

otherwise call a detailing company that travels and be prepared to pay $$$.

first use vacuum cleaner, then use masking tape(the type you use when you are painting)
the small particles of sand will stick to the tape

get a blow dryer from Home Depot and return it

a blow dryer or leaf blower will just get rid of everything, than once your done, vacuum up the excess that is barely there

I live on the beach and do that to my volkswagen constantly

takes about 5 minutes
