I am a former pro. Don't wait for them to come to you. If that is what you want to do then you should have been looking at schools with varsity programs. If not that, then find out when pro or semi-pro teams in your area are having try-outs. MLS has open try-outs every year. There is also the USISL which is a lower division than MLS but it's good match experience and they do pay a little. Look at a guy like Jay Demerit, currently playing in England. He scraped the money together and went over there and started knocking on doors and wouldn't quit. He finally signed on with Watford in England, the club got promoted to the Premier League and he just got called up for his first cap. He worked very hard to get where he is. It's not easy or everyone would be doing it. Bottom line: if you're good enough to be a pro; prove it.

Don't get recruited by clubs go looking. Find all the clubs in your area and ask them if they need players. Start at the bottom and work your way up, train everyday, make soccer your life, go to the gym and work on leg muscles then you may make it as a pro.

Don't forget there and millions of people out there trying to become pro soccer players. You will have to prove yourself against them one day so start preparing now.

My first question is...why didn't any colleges recruit you to play for them??? That's the first route to pro soccer...........Beside's the MLS.....there's the USL..which is the 2nd and 3rd divisions of the United States.....the MLS is the 1st division.........check out the USL...http://www.uslsoccer.com/ and see if there are any pro teams by your college.......

about playing for other colleges....you need to contact the college and say you are intereted in playing for them..........they might have you play a pickup game with kids on there team...they will also ask you for game tape....

you could also write letters to teams in Europe to see if they will allow you to train with there team...if you're good, they'll sign you........but you would have to pay all expenses to go out there since they have no idea who you are...
