"Master and Margarita" By Mikhail Bulgakov, if you ever get to any of the Russian Classics this is the one to read. Devil and his crew descend to early 20th century Moscow, to wreck chaos and just plainly make fun of the Moscovites. You will laugh all the way through

I like "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman. It's much better than the movie. The way it is so great that varies from the movie is that a lot of it sounds believable. That's what draws you in.
