Because some people have asthma and smoke can trigger an attack.

Because I will not take my grandchildren into a place that allows smoking.

Because I don't want to smell like smoke when I get home.

I used to smoke and I do not like the smell of it at all anymore. It is a health hazard to anyone around it.

There is only one reason needed.

"Having a smoking section in a public place is like having a peeing section in a public swimming pool!!!"

Second hand smoke is bad for everyone else's health.

Second hand smoke is a nuisance and stinks.

Seeing people smoke tends to encourage others, particularly the young and feeble minded.

(You will get counter arguments, of course, but these are topic sentances...)

It is bad for other peoples health and unfair to non-smokers. It is unsanitary. It also makes some people uncomforatable who don't like the smell or breathing it in.
