I recommend you do a little research with the Business Opportunity Search Engine. Being community driven it’s a cross between a search engine and a Wikipedia. You can add, delete and improve the results for much more focused answers than a general search engine can provide. http://www.BusinessOpportunitySearchEngine.com

I have heard alot of Horror stories about that company. I had a friend try several other ones like that, with no start up cost, and he said it cost him more then he could have imagined. The people he met that were profitable, were already wealthy when they started, so they had money to invest. I am not sure of any one that doesn't require a start-up fee, but there are alot of really great home based businesses, that can and are very profitable. I sell Tupperware, and only started 2 months ago and have quadrupled my investment. Best of Luck!! Catie

My mom sells Partylite candles. It's not something that you can do sitting on your computer at home, you actually have to do home shows but she loves it and it gives her a nice check. You can do as little or as much as you like. The product is awesome and because it's a consumable product, your customers come to you all the time for more! Plus, you can do catalog shows and you also get a great discount for yourself.
It doesn't cost anything to get started:

Your Starter Show
A current PartyLite Consultant will help you plan a Starter Show where you can invite your family and friends to see and purchase PartyLite products. Sales of $350 will give you a free Kit of candles, accessories and business supplies to start your business. You're on your way!

Start Earning Right Away
During your two-week training period, you'll ask friends and families to host six Shows (They get great benefits by hosting!) And you can earn $500 to $800 by holding just six average Shows. When you hold more, you earn more — it's just that simple.

Take Advantage of Free Training
You can attend free workshops every month for fine-tuning your skills as a PartyLite Consultant. You'll be learning from other Consultants who are glad to share what they know and help you succeed. You'll find that being with other Consultants not only helps you grow, but it's fun!

That's not how businesses work. If you don't want to pay a fee then just get a regular job. You can't have your own store at a mall without making an investment. Why do you think you can start an online store without making an investment?

I just want to add that you might look at a service you could offer. A service targeted to other small business owners or to consumers.

For instance, cruise lines are always looking for agents. An answering or mail service for small businesses is in great demand. A flower delivery service is also in demand.

Hope this helps.

I haven't tried that one but the way I see it anyone who charges you a fee to make money is a scam. It doesn't cost money to apply for a normal job. There are plenty of free affiliate programs and other opportunities online though. Check out: http://www.joblessncollege.com/index_files/affiliate_marketing.htm
