I agree with you. I posted a question once that I really needed help with. I wasn't expecting to hear things that would just make me feel better, but I was expecting to hear things that are at least kind, and not sarcastic. I think that in some cases people just don't care, and they show that they don't care through being jerks. I also agree that their discontent in life really shows through their negative answers at times.
Thanks for bringing up a great point!

Answering any type of questions will gain anyone 2 freaking points. That's probably one of the main reasons why rude, stupid people, that doesn't have anything better to do answer impolitely, just to gain those (2) points. In my opinion I think that those type of people that answer questions impolitely are trying to either race friends or just anyone that they see with a higher level. For example: If the person goes to 'My Profile' it will let them know how many points they need to get to go to the next level. If they only need a few points-then most likely they're going to answer any question, by saying something really dumb, just to gain the points that they need & to hurry up & get to the other level.
I also think that people that anwer in those type of rude ways, are people that are in need of attention. They want to be noticed. They're probably living a miserable life, bord out of their mind, and just trying to be funny in their own way. Some of us will take it personally, and some of us will just do the same. People do these type of things because sometimes they're unhappy & want everyone to feel the same by answering one serious question in a stupid way. There is not a big explanation for that one. If you think the answer is abusive-my suggestion will be to report it on abuse. Most people in here ask for strangers opinions because not everyone expirienced the same thing. Not only that but some people are here to kill a little time as well, asking & answering in stupid ways.
Another thing too- people kind of consider this as chatting a little. You ask a question-5 minutes later about 10 people answser and you wait about 4 hours later to pick your best answer & to give them 10 points. You write back with a feedback and if all your information is available in your public profile-expect just about anyone to email you.
This will not go away, there's alot of ignorant people out there that wouldn't mind or doesn't bother them to waste their time on S*** like this. We don't know them, & they don't know us, & there's nothing anyone can do.

I don't think it's just about being unhappy. Some people just think it's funny to make fun of other peoples problems. Most people on here do care and want to help. The questions that people are asking are important to them and should be treated as such. You know the old saying misery loves company.

This have nothing to do happy or unhappy. People just asking and answering and saying what they think. This is how I do to. If I know the answer, I'm not acting arrogant, rude or something just enjoying to answer and get my points. Do you had a problem with somebody? Than make a report...

Yeh I have noticed that too. I don't necessarily think they are unhappy, I think they are either 1.bored or 2.so insecure that they get off on making other people feel bad. That's why I don't post too many questions because I end up just getting pissed off at the ignorant responses I get. Cheer up, not all of us are bad :)

Pretty unhappy, especially if they think that being rude, arrogant, abusive, etc. is funny.

i think the most of it is the know it alls. they think that they have the best answers yet they help no one. the reason any one of us log on here is to get advise and if ppl can be helpful then they need to buzz off and leave the rest of us alone

I have always thought you have to be pretty damn miserable in your own life if you feel the need to ruin someone else's day.

I think they are just trying to be noticed...the ruder they are, the more attention they receive... They probably have nothing better to do...
