I think its played on an organ. Thats all I know about it.

The tune is called "Entry of the gladiators" also known as Circus Music. Written by the Czech composer Julius Fucik

Unfortunately, I can not understand your musical shorthand good enough to know what song you are referring to. I know that the most famous circus song is "Thunder and Lightning". That is the theme song for Ringling Brothers/Barnum & Bailey circus. Maybe they have website that can answer your question.
