A teacher is likely to like you no matter who you are.

A teacher will actually maybe not "like" you more, but favor you more if you seem to respect their class, are sincerely interested, give it your all (even you don't get good grades) and participate.

You are thinking from a high school stand-point. Your thought process is very adolescent (as adolescents are more prone to "Egocentrism" or contemplating what other peope think about them based on the "norm".) The norm for high schoolers is to be in the in-crowd. But in real life this is not so. People that participate, and are trying to make something of themselves, are better favored in a professor's eyes. The professor is not their to judge whether you are in a corner, or well-liked by most of the class, they're their to teach you what you should know.

I kinda agree with you on that one. The pretty little ho's get all the attention, but now I no longer care about that because I go to school to get an education, not be liked or loved by my fake teachers. But some teachers like the students who do all of their work and are quiet, like me.

Popular girls are usually brainless and thus, are not good at anything except sports, so it figures that hte PE teachers like them. I also think that teachers are Nazi power freaks who should never be allowed to go near children, EVER!! I hated school and certainly didn't care less if the teachers liked me or not. I was neither quiet nor popular and some teachers liked me and some didn't, but who cares anyway? Teachers suck!!

Yes poplar girls are always liked by the PE teachers because normally they are the best at sports. They laugh constantly and make noise and the teachers don't care. I am nothing like that and my teachers love me. I have average looks I can be quiet and loud, I am quite smart and hard working and my teachers always say they like teaching me as I pick things up easily. Don't worry if you think that just because your quiet that your teachers don't like you. Its mainly the quiet kids who the teachers prefer as it makes their job a lot easier. :)

Well to be honest, teachers are humans too so I would say they do favour some students more than others. They shouldn't however show their favouritism towards one student or one group of people. That is very unprofessional. I guess shy people are harder to get to know and form teacher-student relationships with. Just be yourself, but try and get more involved in your classes.

yea exactly u could b the brightest person in the year but when it comes to teachers they all prefer the neds or chavs that either just get by in school or flunk, so when it comes to getting graded u never know if the reason u get a bad result is because they're being biased or if they just hate u

I always liked the ones who showed an interest in my subject, it didn't matter whether they were popular or not, or whether they were even good at it or not. If the got involved and enthusiastic then I always liked them. I didn't find it easy to like the ones who spent their time showing off or being loud.

Not necessarily. The "popular girls" tend to be more outspoken and personable, and therefore, the teacher gets to know them better then someone that sits quietly in the corner. Teachers cannot be expected to love everyone immediately, and being more vocal makes it easier for them to meet and get to know you.

yes-i think teachers always like the popular ones,it still puzzles me now that i am an adult- i thought teachers, more than anybody in fact should posess the abilty-not to discriminate! after all,as somebody famous once said-everybody,rich and poor has the right to an education.
maybe they should add-"popular or not" to clarify.

I think it's up to the individual teacher and their personality and the personality types that they get along with. Some like suckups, others hate them, it's all dependent on the individual.
