Well pick one room at a time set your alarm clock to go off in 15, min´s time , See how much you can do in this amount of time you will be surprised just how much you can achieve Never take things back to their rightful places until you have finished what you are doing leave them outside the door, Once the time is up and you think you have had enough then have a rest and reward yourself . If you think you would rather carry on then do the same again set the clock for another 15, min´s 15, min´s here and there makes a big difference

Begin by just purging more stuff. I am sure all the things u have are not being used that often. I did it and my bf says he likes the change. I just started getting rid of stuff we really don't use. It was hard at first but the more i did it the eaiser it got. When i am in a messy surrounding i get all stressed out and i cant have that so i make it eaisy for myself and everyone around begins to see the good in it all

Imagine how it'll look when it IS cleaned, that's a great motivator. Buy, if have a little bit of money, plastic tubs, containters to store things - they make so many things fashionable and cheap. Take a day to do laundry and the put it all on your bed, everything, and take a few hours to go through it and say "am I really ever going to wear this again?" and if not, donate it. It really downsizes. Pack away seasonal clothes instead of keeping them with your everyday clothes to minimize clutter.

I agree with the first answer work during commercials of a show you really like thats what keeps me going is making myself feel like I'm not working. Also decide what to do one day and what to do the next day don't do it all at once. I feel for you I have to pick up after my fiance like crazy and laundry is the worst! I rent too so I can't install everything, we pay his sister to our laundry.

Motivate yourself by opening the windows for the freash air, turn on some music, and start with one room at a time until it is finished. Once you start to see progress you will keep going. Go to the store and buy plastic bins to neatly store the clothes that are not needed now.
Good Luck!

Put on your favorite CD and turn up the volume!
Watch your favorite TV show, and during the commercials, do a few quick chores. You'll be surprised what you can do in 3 1/2 minutes!
Don't try to do everything at once, it can be overwhelming! Spread it out over 2 days, if possible.

first, the best thing to do would be to kick everyone out! temporarily, of course. tell your hubby you want to clean and ask him if he could go out with the boys or something...if not, at least he could relax in the room you're not cleaning at the moment. same with the cats...if you don't know anyone who could keep them for a while, just keep them out the room you're cleaning. then, change into some comfy clothes that you don't mind cleaning it, and put on my up-beat music and clean away! have large trash bags handy too....one for trash, one for give aways. afterwards, dust, wash and vacuum (or sweep if no carpet), surfaces, take a shower and you should feel so great and accomplished!

I would decide if their was something I would like to do with the extra bedroom (office, exercise room, sitting room). You are wasting an entire room of your duplex if you are just using it as a junk room

Get your husband to help. Tell him no sex until the two of you clean.
