Bra size problem?

I wear a 36D bra size. It's comfortable for me, always fits properly. However, when I look at my breasts, they don't look anywhere near that big! I think they LOOK like they'd just barely fit into a C cup, but might not fill them out. Yet when I try on C bras, no matter what brand or price, they're always way too small. This is really frustrating because when I shop for bras, D cups are always in the plus-size section for some reason, and I'm NOT plus-sized! It's hard to find an attractive bra in my size.

What's the deal here? Do my breasts just have a lot of volume or something...? Or have I just been taught to think that D cups have to look porn-star sized when they're really just normal? Where can I find -pretty- bras in my size?

I wear a 34C and when I look in the mirror, it looks like I have tiny breasts, If I have a regular shirt on, I look like I hardly have anything. I think we are just so used to the way we look and a great number of TV programs show these people who have gigantic "Porn Star" breasts or push up bras that create an illusion of giant breasts. I know I cannot fit in a smaller bra, but if you want them to look huge get a push up bra. But, trust me, to someone with smaller breasts than you, they are huge.

i think u need to look for a flattering Cut on the bra.. try going to victoria secrets and trying on different styles. the ones that are full cupped might make u look like a "C"...so perhaps u can try the push up one, or the one that is cut halfway so it shows more, and therefore may look bigger?
