I am sure she will be okay and it will not help her in any way for you to worry. When you get out of school go over to the hospital and check on her. They would have told you to come right away if it was very serious so this should ease your mind. And for those who question her being in school but on answers- do you not have kids in high school. I hear from my daughter from school and she is in bolivia. A couple of her friends from here write notes to me as well.Schools are full of computers and a little free time as well.

More than likely. Back and neck pain are the most common injuries after a car accident. It is probably the sudden shock to her body and she may be better in a few days. Or it could be a mild case of whiplash. Either way, she will probably be okay with some painkillers and rest. Don't worry too much about it. She'll need your help.

Try not to worry too much.

Back and neck pain following a car accident is very common and 9 times out of 10 is simply soft tissue damage.
Recovery time varies, but generally there are no long term problems.
Mom will have some pain or discomfort for a while, but pankillers and maybe Physio will help.

Hopefully she wll be home later today

Sending you both love and best wishes

She will be fine. The paramedics often take people who have been in car accidents to the hospital to be checked out because the jolt causes whiplash. Please don't worry, I've been in a few accidents and the back and neck pain are a nuisance but not that serious.

Make sure she gets lots of rest when she gets home, and be sweet to her, ok?

It doesn't sound life threatening. I was a passenger in a car accident and I thought I was fine at the scene. It wasn't until hours later that I realized I had shoulder and back pain (shock wore off, I guess). I went to the ER and had X-rays, nothing was broken, so just pain meds. Trust me, your mom will be fine.

I'm sure she will. Neck and back pain is very common after a car accident - the sudden stop of the vehicle throws the head forward - and kind of hurts the muscles.

Matter of fact, most likely she'll hurt more day after tomorrow. That is normal as well.

Yes, she will be fine. I had that too, from a car accident. Usually the jolt of being banged gives you a back strain or sprain, or a neck strain. She will be okay, probably will be sore a little bit. Make sure you help mom out for a couple of days until she feels better. :)

Don't panic, Honey.

Your mom probably has whiplash. Which means she's going to be hurting for quite a while. She might be all right eventually: Only time will tell.

In the meanwhile, try to help her out more around the house. A lot of things that she probably used to do a lot will be hard for her now.

Good luck, and good luck to your mom!

Yes she will. She may need some physical rehabilitation like Physical therapy at the worst but probably not. But she is still your mom and will definitely live through this.

I think she will be OK. Sounds like whiplash and it is pretty painful and usually last a couple days. So she will need your help with things. You are sweetie to be so concerned about her.
