Well,
I know I'm not the only one that has checked out the old wives tales websites - but I just wondered if anyone found any truth to the one that talks about identifying the gender by the heartbeat - Below 140 being a boy and above 140 being a girl. Anyone have personal experiences of this?

It really is a wives tale. There is no way of knowing. An aunt had a low heart beat during her pregnancy, and was convinced it was a boy. She has three girls. My son had a fast heartbeat (170) through most of the pregnancy. Too bad there isn't a way to know without an ultrasound!

No my sister in law and I seem to pregnant at the same time everytime. Last time, our baby heart rates were around 140-145 and we both had girls. This time the baby heart rates are about 150-170 She knows she's having a boy and I haven't found out yet what I"m having. Also a friend of mine was pregnant the same time with my 1st baby and the heart rates were 145 and I had a girl she had a boy.

This question is frequently asked. Last time I linked to a study that showed there is no relation between gender and heartrate. The fetal heartrate can vary during the day, i.e. slower while the baby sleeps, higher when its active. Also, the age of the baby can make a difference as well. So you can see that it doesn't make one bit of difference one way or the other. My girls *should* have been boys based on the chinese prediction chart, heartrate, and the way I carried, go figure. Best of luck.

I examine a learn that got here across that 80% of time the heart beat can be sure while you're having a boy-via the parable of one hundred fifty or bellow is a boy. whether, the learn mentioned that it wasn't as acturate at determining a female. So my duaghter's is extra often than not interior the mid one hundred sixty's-purely as quickly as replaced into it low-a hundred thirty five at 21 weeks purely before that and because then it has stayed interior the one hundred sixty's. My nurse says that she does not have faith in it. yet my chum is having a boy-his has continuously been low a hundred thirty's a hundred and forty's. wager in basic terms time will tell. solid luck.

It was not true for me...I had a boy and his fetal heart rate was always around or above 140!
My OB said that he would be right with that 50% of the time!

a friend of mine just had a baby, she didnt find out what it actually was until the birth, but her babys heart rate was fast, so everyone pridicted a girl, which she ended up haveing, also many other family members and friends have tried to predict the sex of the unborn baby this way, and from what i can remember they have all guessed right, i think only 1 or 2 were wrong
anyways i cant say that its a 100% acurate but its pretty darn close
