For beginners, the most universally recommended species to keep as a pet is the Emperor scorpion, Pandinus imperator. It is fairly docile and its sting is said to be roughly the same as a bee or wasp sting (although serious anaphylactic reactions can occur). They aren't as aggressive as other types, easy to obtain & care for.

They can but excercise caution with them because you can not "milk" a scorpion (milking is removing venom). King scorpions are amongst the most popular ones currently. do some research online or buy a beginners guide to book to get you information on the critters before you buy one. I am currently reading one on tarantula care because I'm thinking of getting a rosie T.

scorpions wouldn't necessarily make "good" pets, but they certainly make interesting pets. however, they are dessert animals and need to be kept in a very dry, very hot climate (a heat lamp and sand bedding should be fine) you'll need to research diet and other important info, but overall they would make for a unique pet. i would get there venom removed also and wouldn't wanna handle them too often, it might stress them out and u'll have nothng but puncture wounds to show for it (however, if you hold your hands still and let them walk onto u, u should be fine...they need to think you're land or they'll feel threatened).

I would not think so, considering they are poisonous. But if you do decide to keep a scorpion, read and study about their care, or if you know someone who knows about scorpions, ask them.

I'm thinking no, but if you really are into scorpions, go for it, I would keep it in an aquarium or something, they are poisonous,

i wouldnt recommend it as a pet if you have little kids in your house.

i once got bitten by one, it hurt alot!! but it wasnt the deadly ones, i dont know the name of it but it was the brown one so if u get one i guess the best could be brown.

black n red ones are the most dangerous. sry i cant provide the names (i just dont know them lol)

The plain black scorpian is a good pet. They are easy to handle if you know what you are doing.
