They encourace prople to vote for the worst singers on Idol.

There is definately a lot of Sanjaya bashing going around. I think people's main problem with him is that while technically he can sing... he is no where near as good as the other contestants. I think he is a sweet boy that knows his place in the competition. He said Tuesday in his clip that he knows he's not the best singer but that he's going to go out and have fun and do his best. I believe that he knows that he should have been the one going home every week. But he's young... so he'll soak up the starlight as long as he can.
The reason he's still in is because of the sympathy vote (votefortheworst) and the teeny bopper vote. The fact that he's still on the show has nothing to do with his talent.

"if he was bad he wouldn't be in the top 12..." yes he would. Once the audience starts voting, there's no telling what will happen. All of the judges have said, "this is suppose to be a singing contest; the results don't reflect that."
The child hasn't sung a song in tune in more than 3 weeks; and this week was awful. Go listen to the real song by The Kinks - then compare; there is no way you can say he has talent.
Just my opinion...and that of many, many, many people, including a little girl in NY who is on a starvation protest and won't eat until he is booted off.

Yes he can still be in the top 12 sucking like he does, I think that people feel bad for him because the judges are so harsh with him. He really needs to get voted off, If he is on for much longer I am going to stop watching the show. I don't want to see what happen last year happen again this year. Taylor Hicks is OK, but he should not have won? Have you even heard anything about him since he won. I think that I saw him in a Ford Commercial, that's about it.

That's the thing. Sanjaya IS bad and he is in the top 12. Sure he can sing somewhat, but he just isn't up to par with everyone else. It's obvious.

He is horrible! There are people out there who votes the worst on purpose to prove how unfair the voting system for American Idol is. He can not sing and has no personality. I do think it is unfair how the votes go but also i think it is unfair how the worst are leaving.

He's is not as talented as the other singers...being in the top 12 has nothing to do w/ it. It's a popularity or lack of contest...people are obviously voting for the worst.

This poor kid thinks people love him, in reality they are embarrassing him. Gotta love America. haha

Hate, such a strong word, but believe me, he is not as good as some of the other people on the show, but people are voting for him so there is something that appeals to them and he does have really nice hair.

hate is a pretty strong word. i wouldn't say that i hate him he is just a horrible singer. oh, he could be in the top 12 if he was bad, hello, it's happening now. he is the worst and should have been gone long before the top 12.
