I LOVE punk rock espicially Green Day

okay if you dont think Green Day is punk rock then what the hell is it???? Its surely not pop. You dont see people moshing at a f-ing jessica simpson and britney spears concerts?? Green day is not pop...not even pop rock

oh and Rhyno........I like the eye liner...I think its pretty hot but thats just my taste

I prefer punk but like hard rock also. Green Day are brilliant Roxy you have good taste.

I do enjoy Green Day, but please don't ever refer to them as punk rock again. Neither of them deserve to be classified with eachother. Punk had it's day in the sun, and it is now a dying art, it wasn't a revolution, but it pointed in a new direction and inspired many of the great rock that was to follow it. Green Day, sadly, also had their day in the sun and is now a dying artist. Don't get me wrong, I own all the good ones, everything up to Nimrod (well, half of Nimrod could be considered good) But come on Billy Joe, what's with the eye liner? Say it ain't so. Either way, they are both good, but they have nothing to do with eachother, besides a little inspiration.
Anything new on the radio that says it's punk, is not.

(I like Green Day, but I wouldn't call them punk)

punk is great, everybody starts somewhere, believe me you'll move on to greater things, there's a whole bunch of different kinds of music out there try some of it out, if you like green day and stuff like that you should really look into 80's and 90's alternative stuff, being a green day fan, check out smashing pumpkins, they rock like a lot.

i totally agree with you, to me, Green day is PUnk Rock!!
your right on that, because afi came out in the 90's, and i would classify them punk rock, and so as green day, the offsrping, bad religion, blacksheep. ~etc!!!

I'm 36 and you call Green Day punk ? ok
Back in my day ( sheeeesh ) It was punk or heavy metal.
I liked punk better because it was political.( Sex Pistols ) Heavy metal is brainless.
Green Day is good, but I guess punk got soft.
