Let's look at the facts:

1. There are more wind generators now than there ever have been. Places like California and Nevada hae MILES of wind generators catching the wind:

http://www.freefoto.com/preview.jsp?id=39-01-1&k=Wind+Turbine+Generators%2C+Palm+Springs%2C+California

2. The globe is warmer now than it has ever been.

This must mean that these wind turbines are causing global warming, right? Maybe they are keeping the wind from blowing on the Earth, and cooling it!!

--P.S. Just because "We are emitting more Carbon Dioxide now than ever before" doesn't mean that is causing global warming. Are there any REAL facts proving that humans cause global warming? If so, please post them.
However, I think the "More CO2" correlation is the only 'proof' and that is a logical flaw, as I have shown.

Grow up, Al.

I agree with your overall premise of this message but, your logic is flawed. The number of wind generators has no bearing on the debate. I don't think you know that the global tempature now is higher than it was 500 years ago. What you've stated in this mess does nothing to further our cause.

The SUN, or Sol, or BAAL, which, it seems we have come back to worshipping when you consider the sacrifices and religous fervor of the issue. Would they allow any religion to show it a fiulm about it's doctrine in schools, and give poor grades to anyone who dares question it? Now of course I'm jumping to conclusions, I don't know for a fact that there isn't a similar pollution problem on Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, etc. caused by people leaving incandesant lightbulbs on and driving old gas hogs around, could be that. I suggest we launch Al Gore into space on a planetary exploration to check. PS - Anyone who claims the earth is now warmer than it has ever been is either stupid or a liar. Sorry, but the climate was changing hot/cold long before man came on the scene, man is still an insignifigant speck in the universe.

Non sequitur ..... but wind generators are so efficient.....

Reading the popular media can lead a person to conclude that "global warming" is:
o- either a hoax to promote business opportunities, politicians agenda and scientists grant money.....
OR
o- a problem related to overpopulation, industrialization and fossil fuels whose solution options lie in solar power, wind power, geothermal power and nuclear fusion....

However, the correct answer may be altogether different:

NASA has released never-before-seen images that show the sun's magnetic field is much more turbulent and dynamic than previously known. The international spacecraft Hinode, formerly known as Solar B, took the images. Hinode was launched Sept. 23 to study the sun's magnetic field and its explosive energy. National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists said the spacecraft's uninterrupted high-resolution observations of the sun are expected to have an impact on solar physics comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope's impact on astronomy. "For the first time, we are now able to make out tiny granules of hot gas that rise and fall in the sun's magnetized atmosphere," said Dick Fisher, director of NASA's Heliophyics Division. "These images will open a new era of study on some of the sun's processes that effect Earth, astronauts, orbiting satellites and the solar system." Hinode is a collaborative mission led by
the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and includes the European Space Agency and Britain's Particle Physics Astronomy Research
Council. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., managed the development of the Hinode's scientific instrumentation provided by industry and federal agencies.

>>> as regards alternative energy methods, I favor development of the technology for nuclear fusion using lunar Helium 3

it is not just carbon dioxide that causes global warming. i'd rather say it is lesser threat. Plants do use carbon dioxide during the process of photosynthesis and convert to sugar and water. someone might argue we are emitting more carbon dioxide. it is as true statement as to say "it is march and spring is coming."
What i'd say is one main reason for global warming is the CFC (chlorofuro carbon). what actually happens is that when sunlight enters it heats the atmosphere. mostly the ultra violet rays and rays in its neighbourhood. they contain more energy and thus heat the earth. The Ozone protects by constantly breaking and reforming by using the energy of uv light. now CFC comes in picture. it involves in a chain reaction with Ozone and deplets it. One CFC can react and deplete infinite Ozone molecules both mathematically and practically. and thus uv lights get in and thus heat the environment. many countries have banned or at least reduced the production of CFC. CFC is used in collants and refregerating purposes.
One thing I'd like to address here is America is only the country which hasnot done anything to stop it. Al Gore himself is former vice president. he could have done something. But no. America being a major industralist country, should have initiated the process but the capitalists here are more concerned about outsourcing and gaining the profit. by large means, america including other industralist countries are main reason for global warming. it is ironic for a former vice president to write a book or make a movie with the subject matter.

Fiction would be the biggest cause.

The sun is producing more heat. Is global warming causing the Mars ice caps to melt? If so, then I guess man is to blame there.

With some of the answers given already, it appears the only way to reduce all the gas in the air is to reduce the number of people breathing on the planet.

The sun expands and contracts (since the sun is basically a ball of gas). At this point in time it is larger than it has been in past years causing all of planets in our solar system to get warmer. Thirty years ago, a lot of these same scientists claimed that the Earth with getting colder, and that we were at fault for that too. Give the sun a few more cycles, it will change again.

the wind generators are not causing global warming. the wind just blows it and does not increase in speed. CO2 and other pollutants are in the air letting & keeping the suns rays on the earth heating it up. i say we can solve this two ways. 1)put a giant ice cube in the ocean to cool the earth untill 2) we can move our planet away from the sun a bit.

Global warming is the Earth's natural heating and cooling cycle... in the 70's, they were all worried about "Global Cooling... the ice age is coming, the ice age is coming!!!".. we're just in a heating trend and we'll soon be in a cooling trend again..

MOST scientists do not agree with global "warming"..

All the scientists quoted in the following link from my post, say that global warming is being caused by human action. You can't expect to pour billions and billions of tons of co2 into the air every year and not have consequence. BTW, China is going to surpass us in co2 emissions in less than 5 years. It's best the U.S take the lead on this issue now. Lots of money to be made in China on alternative energy as a result.
