The routers shouldn't be a problem it's the network card that you really would need to worry about.

I see no-one knows what they talking about except Mavis, until now.

The xbox site is a good site but then they haven't tested every router and how much did the router companies pay microsoft to recommend their routers. Here is what I have got.

We got 2 xbox 360's, mine and my sons. We have a normal uk adsl broadband service and could run both 360's without any problems. One of the 360's is wired to the router and the other is wireless with a gaming adapter.

My router is a Netgear DG834G (54mbps). The router is NOT in the recommended list on the xbox site. There are only 2 on there so it's no help really. I bought the Netgear because after checking reviews on www.reviewcentre.com, it came out the best.

My wireless gaming adapte is a Belkin F5D7330, again probably not recommened by xbox/microsoft as its half the price of theirs.

Everything runs great with bth 360's on together as well as at least 1 laptop connected to the internet as well.

If you want my advice by a Netgear, great item.

If you need any help setting it up with the 360 drop me an email or read some of my other answers on here.

If I was in your shoes, I would ask this question at the help option of a website that specializes in xbox360. It is too risky to take advice from a total stranger on a subject such as this subject.

I think there will be instructions on the xbox website, you can buy a usb too and plug it into your computer with a normal router too I think...
