It's not a question or should/shouldn't. It's just a fact of life that friendships will affect your relationship.

hmm (rubbing chin)
You know life loves to throw curve balls at ya. However how you plan to play ball, and stay in the game is strategy.
Friends are great to have, and a real God send when you need your spirit's lifted.
Nevertheless.. if your friend is supportive of you. Then they shouldn't affect your relationship. You would hope that they are supportive in what you decide to do.
It probably wouldn't hurt to ask "WHY" they feel the way about your partner? Because I know they wouldn't want you to be hurt, emotionaly, or physically. However I'm sure once you see where there coming from. You'll be able to balance relationship, and friendship.

YOU CAN DO IT!!.....

Of course it should effect it. Do you want your boyfriend to continue to hang around his single unattached friends that are girls? Do you want him to do the same with the ones that are guys, you know the ones that like to chase women, drink and go to strip clubs?

I guess you might think different when put that way.
