The answer is no. No injury was sustained as a result of the shoving.. and even if there was.. it still wouldn't be fair. There's some question as to whether her sentence was racially motivated.. and based on the 7-year sentence.. I'd have to agree. Apparently, 12 different discrimination complaints have been filed against the school district where this incident occured.. and the judge who sentenced Shaquanda to 7-years for shoving.. recently sentenced a white teenager to probation for arson..

Fair is where you judge a pig! Maybe a better question would be does the punishment fit the crime? If thats the question, that would depend on whether or not the shove caused harm to another. Also, what type of 7 yr sentence was received? A detention facilty, probation, anger mngmnt classes? Nothing is ever black and white!

7 yrs in jail??? or on probation???? either one is crazy! does she have a prior record?? I'd be hiring the best juvenile attorney in the county where the incident took place. Sounds like there's more to it~if that's the punishment she's received. That, or the JDC Judge is crazy! I'd take it as far as possible. Good luck on that.

it depends... did a serious injury result from the shoving? If so, yes... that is fair... especially if the victim was a senior citizen.
