Why do people get on here and ask questions when they don't want real answers, they want justification? For example: "I want a Husky but I life in Texas, is this ok?" 49 people say no, 1 person says yes. What do they do? Pick the one who said yes (ignoring the thousands of worthwhile points made by the other 49) and essentially say "Thanks so much, that's just what I wanted to hear!" If you're not truly going to listen to the answers you get, why bother asking? I must have answered a dozen questions lately that ended up being resolved by the asker picking the person who told them what they want to hear. Askers, just because you can find ONE other idiot who agrees with you doesn't justify whatever you want to buy or do to these animals! Has anyone else noticed this trend??

Bozema - I totally agree, it's so annoying when either the asker gives you thumbs down, or you can see that one person has disagreed in their answer, and they are the only one that doesn't have a thumbs down- you KNOW it's that person who answered doing it to everyone else! So rude.

Oh sh!t. You can give thumbs up and thumbs down? Where the heck do you do that- there are several people I want to boo off the stage!
I don't really pay attention to most questions unless I know a legitimate answer off the bat. I just get sick of the people who ask a question but end up not picking a best answer at all. I mean if you're going to take the time to question why not look at your answers, do your research and pick the one that you feel is right?

YES!!!!!!! I asked this exact same question (in society and culture though). Some idiot with no brains whatsoever answers the question and thumbs down every other answer, as IF that's going to make them look more right!!! AND IT WORKS.
Or how about the "Don't let wrong answers fool you" line????? AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I've had that a couple times, where some idiot answers last, and says "Don't let wrong answers fool you" When They Are Wrong, and they STILL GET BEST ANSWER.
It's annoying.

Yes I agree. And just as bad is when people ask a ligitimate animal health question and some know nothing know it all gives them a totally wrong answer that sounds like they made it up just to sound smart. People shouldnt answer a serious animal health/happiness question unless they are sure their answer is right. Not everyone can afford to run to the vet everytime they are curious about a behavior.

It's not just in Pets. It's all over the site. I tend to give everyone with intelligent input a thumbs up when they give me an answer. I thumbs down or report the sarcastic jerks that have nothing useful to say. And I don't answer questions I don't have a decent answer to. I'll give you an example of a sarcastic jerk that I reported last week. I asked for websites or tips on raising border collies. We adopted one recently. One of the answers I got was: www.f*ckyouupthea*shard.com that jerk deserved being reported getting thumbs down.

Yes I have. Not much you can do I guess. I also don't appreciate the thumbs downs either from the one person who thinks it's OK, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of people think its a bad idea.

I totally agree with you. I mean they just want someone to agree with them even though like the entire world doesn't. They just want to feel like they are doing the right thing. I want some real question!!!! You're not the only that feels this way. : )

AHHH WELCOME to the world of public questions and answers, generally its what everyone does. Ask a question for advise but only pick the one you want to hear. Thats the way the world turns.. the best thing is keep on answering the truth and what is the best answer, and hope one of the 25,000,000 questioners that have this tunnel vision, picks the correct one. We cant pick it for them but only help them choose a good answer.

I know exactly what you mean! People will ask something like, "I want a great dane but I live in an apartment what should I do?" and then ignore all legitimate answers and pick the one that says it's ok.

yes, I have noticed it too. It's very frustrating, but what are you gonna do? Unfortunately, there is a surplus of morons in this world, that no matter what reality is, they will always hear only what they want to hear.

I see it too. It's really strange. People also ask questions on things they can do their own web search on. Are they just too lazy? Who knows......
