Ok, I'm really sorry to ask this and if anyone thinks I'm being thick then I apologise in advance! I am currently on the pill, and in a long term stable relationship. My period is generally regular and I normally come on 2 days after my last pill. However tis month has been different. I haven't come on at all, and had no signs that I even might. I had to start taking the pill again yesterday. Before anyone says take a pregnancy test we always practice safe sex. Does anyone know why my body is being weird?! Its never done this before when I've been due on. Thank you for your help x

It's normal to skip a period when you are on the pill due to not building up enough of lining in the uterus to slough off. If you are worried about pregnancy then you need to test to just be on the safe side or you can wait and see if you start next month. If you don't don't start next month I would advise you to test and alert your doctor of the situation.

It is very important you go to your doctor ASAP, one-you could be pregnant and two-if you are and still taking the pill you could harm the fetus. I know because I have a 6ft son to prove you can get pregnant on the pill while practicing safe sex. I also missed a period and thought my body was just acting weird, then when I missed the next one I went to the doctor. Thank God no harm came to my baby from taking the pill that month.

The Pill is not 100% effective, my advice would be to take the test or visit the Doc.
When my wife fell pregnant with our 2nd child she was on the pill.

Dependant on your age which you don't state, it is not unusual for women who have been regular to pccasionaly miss one period, don't worry to much but get a general Health Check up from your GP sometime soon.

maybe you'll get you period next week. our bodies do strange things sometimes!
have you thought about doing a preggo test? no contraception is 100% safe....
but if you're fit and healthy, young and not over weight, the m ost likely reason for a missed period is pregnancy...

My body acts weird sometimes too due to different changes, like weight gain, or weight loss, stress and other things.
Have you been been through any changes? Think about it before you think you might be pregnant.

That's a question for your doctor. And just because you practice "safe sex" doesn't mean you couldn't be pregnant...just that the chances are less than someone who doesn't practice it.
