1) They have a better chance than in previous years because now they are a defensive based team with Luongo in net making save after save. Nobody is really talking about them winning the cup, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the finals.

That being said, no they probably won't win the cup.

2) Sure seems like it. Edmonton hasn't done squat since they traded Smyth away. Columbus isn't exactly hot either.

3) In the Central division Columbus has a decent chance of becoming decent, maybe they can get in as a 7-8 if they go in with a similar team as they do now, but I'm sure they'll go out and improve, and if they make halfway-decent decisions I trust they can finally get over the hump and make the playoffs for the first time ever.

1. No, they have talent but I see an eastern conference team winning.
2. Maybe edmonton is practically dead.
3. Hey there were doubters about edmonton last year and they made a great run in the playoffs. So why couldn't columbus do it.

1. Maybe but probably not. The west has alot of tough teams. Luongo will have to be amazing to have a chance. In the west, I have them behind Anaheim, SJ, Nashville, then them and Detroit tied for next but hey, 8th seed Edmonton won the west last year so who knows. And that is just to make it there. I'd put them at like 12-1.
2. Edmonton has really cashed it in for the season so it would not surprise me.
3. No. I don't think so but let's see what they do as far as UFA's go first.

1 No, they will not make west finals
2 last couple years, jackets have been finishing strong, so maybe
3 thats tough to say. they look shitty in begining, and then go all down hill from there. However, if they make some good off season aqusations, then maybe they would have a chance, but they have to play consistanly. Like get rid of Berard, and keep goalies strong. I live in columbus, we may be screwed with GM Doug the *** hole
