Hi,

I used to take a nap back in my school days. However, since I'm working now, it really bothers me that sometime I can't keep my eyes open in the afternoon. However, after I passed 8PM, i feel energized again. I just hope that I could be energized from 8AM-5PM.

Anyway, does anyone one of you know how to work this out ? I sleep 6-7 hours a day. Perhaps a vitamin to boost your stamina ? Anyone ?

I found that eliminating empty carbs helps this alot! by empty, I mean breads, sugars, my PM fatigue virtually disappeared when I stuck to small amounts of protein and healthy carbs-veges, salad, fruit, nuts.

Firstly, let me say that fatigue is the first sign of dehydration. That's right, something as simple as water could be the answer to your afternoon tiredness. Secondly, if you are low in vitamin C you could be experiencing afternoon fatigue as well. Try a lunch consisting of whole grains and fresh fruit & veggies. It will carry you much longer than anything else. Also do you take a multi vitamin? While there is much controversy regarding the benifits of suppliments, I think they are helpful for me, personally.
so there you go!
Here's to your health!

Vitamin B-12, or a B complex.

When you get tired, try eating an apple, it's supposed to pep you back up better than caffiene and it counts as one of your fruits for the day.
Vitamin B Complex would work well also.

Less carbs for lunch...more protein.

Stay away from turkey because of the triptophan (?Spelling?)

Make sure you are getting enough of all of the B vitamins..but don't take more than the recommended amount daily. Check with your doc. or pharmacist they can advise you. Good Luck

Do you eat a big meal at lunch time, this could be the problem, at your age a varied diet should be enough!
