If you are speaking about the historical figure from the Cival war, yes. If you are speaking aobut someone currently named Robert E. Lee (There are many, check out a phone book sometime) I would recommend that you check with the individual or his family.

Yes - he was a civil war general. The Civil War occured in the 1860's. If he were still alive today he'd be about 160 years old.
