I am trying to put 83 min worth of music on an 80 min cd. Any suggestions?

The best answer is no, use the CD for the intended amount of time = 80min. Yes you can POSSIBLY overburn it to fit, but you risk damaging the drive and the disc. This would cost way more than dropping a song off the disc, or even making 2 discs. I have tried overburning in the past and have a dead drive because of it, I DO NOT recommend it to anyone!

I pressume the music is in audio quality not mp3. In that case yes you could if your burner supports overburn.

Overburn:

Most CD-R media is either 650MB or 700MB. The burning starts from the centre of the CD and works its way out but stops before the physical edge of the CD. Overburning, is burning past the limitations and onto the edge of the CD, this can result in slightly higher capacity storage. Overburning has also been known to damage drives and cause bad recordings.

you know what i do?
not every player but some you can make a data cd out of it. my car stereo supports it. i put about 7 to 9 albums on one cd. sadly like i said not every cd player support this. but they should!

You can try overburning with Nero.
