Were both seniors and we leave for college in September of 2007.Being busy with homework and classes and not being able to hang out with her all the time like we do now im afraid that we will drift apart and eventually lose our friendship.

if you chose your school totally based on friendship convenience then yea, some drifting will occur. College naturally presents new oppurtunities for friends, experiences, trying out what really makes you tick rather than what everyone else thinks. Being away at college gives you that arena to come into your own as an individual. Sometimes childhood friends get clingy when one thrives or doesnt agree with going out or course studies, new friend competition,etc.. I'm not saying drop her like a bad habit...but dont sign up to be roomates either..both of you need space to spread your wings a bit.that will keep your friendship healthier and if you need a little home court advantage, than be there for each other in that way.

It could happen. I would just have like a "girlfriend" date night once a month or whenever and then keep it up throughout the years.
