Did you ever think that it was a mutual decision between the 2 of them. I'm sure that he would have dropped out if it meant he would be losing precious time with his wife. They seem to be a strong family all around. If it was that bad, I don't think she could have talked him out of leaving the race. So possibly, they talked it over with the family and the doctors and decided that she isn't that bad and can be helped with treatment. I think anyone who has gone through cancer of any kind will see her as a strong woman, and I wish them both the best, win or lose, the election.

If I get reported for this, I want respect you in
the morning. I am neo-libertarian.
Bob Roberts(Tim Robbins) is running for
Pennsylvania senate. Also a folk musician
and sings songs at his rallies.
In the movie, a crazed journalist shoots Roberts
during the campaign.
Roberts condition is listed as critical but he
makes out okay.
At the end of this picture, Roberts is at a rally.
He has been thanking his supporters for all
their support during his hospital stay. He
has been paralyzed from the waist down.
It's a dinner rally, and the camera is moving
closer to Bob Roberts. Like you often see
people in wheelchairs do, he has something
over his legs, like a wrap.
The last thing you see is Bob's foot, patting
in time while he plays the guitar and sings.

I don't think they should have made a public announcement about it - seems like a crass attempt to secure votes (sorry if that sounds harsh, but I'm being honest). I figure there's one of two things. Either her case is under control and there's a good chance of survival notwithstanding this relapse or she's really got serious problems. If it's the first one, they shouldn't be sharing it with the public. If it's the latter then he should be dropping out to spend all the time he can with his wife.

If anything, I think it will be an asset. How wonderful it is that they will be able to show America that cancer does not mean a death sentence nor the end of your life as you know it. I think their courage will give hope and inspire hundreds of cancer victims and survivors to continue to strive for their goals. My prayers are with them both!

I don't think so. I just don't agree with him on things so wouldn't vote for him anyway...but they sure appear like a very dynamic duo and I do respect them greatly.

I'm sure the republicans will attack him over it if he becomes the nominee, but it could very well backfire on them.
