This might be an odd question but it's something I've always wondered about. When you have twins, triplets, quads, etc....even you have names picked out beforehand or don't pick until after they're born, how do you decide which name to give which baby?

....Like suppose you're having twin girls and you pick the names Mary and Jane before they are born. When they're born, how do you decide which is which?

I have twin girls that are 14 mths old. I knew one name I wanted to use right away. Natalie Anna. After a couple of months I decided to use Emily Grace as the other name. I named the oldest Natalie because I felt that God had graced us by suprising us with a second, so I wanted to use Grace for the youngest. Now it seems that the names were perfect just like they are and anything else would be weird. Their names really fit their personalities somehow.

My aunt had triplets almost 3 years ago and she picked out the names but didn't tell anyone til the babies were born, 2 girls (Karstan Ann, Megan Mary) 1 boy ( Ryan Kamillo) Kamillo is a family name!

My friend had twins and she picked out one name for the first one born and one name for the second one born.

As soon as we found out we were having twin girls we pick names, and at 18 weeks I had a 3D ultrasound, and we decided that Twin A would be Faith, and Twin B would be Hope... I think it's just one of those things you just know....

We decided that the first girl born who was always Baby A (they have been able to tell which baby was going to be coming first from ultrasounds) would be names Hannah and that Baby B would be Hailey. I know which side each other girls is sitting on (Hannah on my left, Hailey on my right).

I just gave them the names in alphabetical order. Ethan to the first one born and Hutner to the second one born.
