there are usually juried shows around, if that's what you mean. As shipping of your artwork has to be usually paid by you, and that can turn out expensive I would start out locally.

I would be also careful with sending art to places you don't really know anything about - I have heard enough stories of people not getting their artworks back from small local galleries cause they went bust in meantime, if it's not local it's more difficult to sort things out if there are problems.

A good place to start is your local newspaper. You can also go to local art schools or galleries and see if they have advertisements for some posted. You can look for newsgroups and see what you can find there.

Selected works will be exhibited at the Alder Art Gallery with a printed announcement.
