Can you tell if its real or fake?

I'm talking about designer handbags such as Louis Vutton, Chanel, Gucci etc. I work with a lot of women that think they have the real thing...they don't...I think its hilarious. I know the difference but I don't say anything because I don't want to embarass them. Do you know the difference? Would you buy a friend or relative a fake as a gift?

I don't look down on people. I just think that if you want a designer bag buy the real thing...don't carry around a fake and tell people its real.

Yeah I agree its pretty awful to have a fake designer bag as whats the point. Some people walk around with really really bad fakes (the sort you buy on holiday for really cheap) and try to pretend they are real!

There are a few very good fakes thou that I have seen... and some are pretty difficult to tell that they arent the real thing aless you look very closely.

There are lots of ways of telling and its normal the small details like the cut of the fabric and the stitching and even the accuracy of the stitching lines etc.

I would never buy a fake designer item for a pressie... its a bit like cheating the person as they would probably assume it was the real deal...

Yes, I can tell the difference. Especially with LV and Chanel, it's easy to tell in the differences in stitching and the maker's mark.

HOWEVER, just because someone has a fake is not a reason to look down on them. I myself own several fakes, as well as real - my faux purses were cute and less expensive. There's nothing wrong with that!

I would buy a fake as a gift for a close friend or relative, but I would also tell them it was faux.

Some of the designer ones I can tell they are fake. You can look at the leather and tell it's not good quality. No I wouldn't buy a friend a fake. To me, fakes are never fashionable. What's the point! I don't look down on people with fakes, but if you're going to carry a look alike I say get the real deal. It's like diamonds vs. cubic zirconia. You wouldn't want your man proposing to you with a fake diamond would you.

I don't know the real thing from the fake. I would never wear a designer purse if there was a possibility it could be fake. All my purses are from Pacsun or Target and they pretty cheap. I would never buy a friend or a relative a fake designer purse and tell them it was real.

I can tell the differance because I have both, replicas and real ones but China makes some awesome replica bags! Almost exact! I don't know if I would ever buy someone a fake though. Check out this sight! Most of the replicas are almost exact!

Yes i can tell by looking at the graphics, the stitching, the lable, and where it is made. I would not choose to buy someone who i cared about a fake because if you cant have the real thing, dont go for a fake.

I can almost always spot a fake.And if I can see the lining of the bag,I can tell for sure.Very tacky.
