Hi,

I think I had a bit of nervous breakdown a few days ago. But my friend helped me through it. Only problem is that I really like her more than a friend. Do you think I would have lost her respect? Also, what can I do to recover?

What you probably had was an anxiety attack. A true nervous breakdown lasts longer than a few hours. If she is a true friend she should realize that everyone is human and everyone has a breaking point and needs relief from stress/anxiety, so I don't think you should have lost her respect. Plus she must care for you a lot to have been there for you in a difficult time. If this is the first time you've experienced this kind of situation it may also be the last, if you feel anxious or nervous about it go to your family doctor, especially if what is causing your stresses/anxiety is not something you can avoid easily. If it was a "one time" event, but you still feel anxious and unsure generally, why don't you true yoga, meditation, reading the Bible, or other proven actions you use to calm yourself down and bring yourself some calmness? Good luck and God Bless.
