blue-ray discs are like a high definition DVD. It is how the movie was filmed, kinda like, a high definition tv program has to be filmed with a high definition camera. You will need a player to play the blue-ray. The new blue-ray DVD players are quite expensive, about $1000.00. But, you can buy the sony playstation 3 which plays blue ray for about $600.00.

Bluray discs are a High Def DVD format. The discs can hold up to 35 GB. Regular CDs can hold 700 MB.

a blu-ray disc is the next generation of DVD (high definition)...you need a special player for these movies...very expensive, and probably not worth the money.

Holds 25 GB of data on each side for dual layered, and 25 GB on single layered.

DDVDs hold only like 5GB.

CD and CDRs don't even hold 1GB.

It's a hell of a lot more space than other ones.

It is larger than a normal disc, and by larger, i mean by holding capassity...it can hold 10 times more data than a normal dvd, giving it more power and freedom to allow bigger and (considered) badder things
