Each week has a theme, which means a limited style of songs to choose from. When they put out an album, it will most likely be in the style of their choice. So doesn't that mean that this format is not an accurate representation of who that artist will be?? We may like the person's ability to sing the themes, but they may put out an albumn that is a style we don't like.
For example, I don't like R&B music, so an artist I like, who sang well on the show, then puts out an R&B album, I won't buy it. Why can't they let them pick their own songs each week in whatever style they want? Wouldn't that give a better idea of what we'd be buying?
