and you have the power to change, it shouldn't you?
I am currently a Senior and on a sports team in my high school. and I hadn't done that sport since about freshmen year, and the only reason that I joined this year is because I thought my parents wanted me to (why i thought that I don't know). but since i started I have been running ragged tired every moring, noon and night. I'm sore every day after practice(and practice is every day), and most of the people on the team I DON"T LIKE!!! and there is a game every week which is retarded. and I am completely miserable. so shouldn't I quit? (and don't even say anything relating to "just suck it up")

Listen to your head then follow your heart, teen angst is a b*tch, you should be having the time of your life. Do what is right for you, its your life no-one can live it for you, then you will feel better.
Good luck bro.

I think you should go to your parents and to the coach, explain it just like you did here. I used to be one of those "never quit" parents, but over the years I've rethought my position and I would support you in making this decision. You're old enough to know this isn't right for you.

I'm genuinely happy. And yes, you do have the power to change. I've been severly miserable in my past.
You'll get past this time. Just do what you think is best for you in the long run.

Maybe if you get into something else, your parents will not mind so much if you quit. Maybe you should ham up some idea of how you've desperately wanted to be in a swim club (or whatever) your whole life and don't see yourself having enough time now that you're on the sports club. I dunno.

It sounds like you don't like the sport, so then quit! If you do like the sport, but not the team, just find another team to join. If you are THAT misrable, just quit!

It's something you have to decide. Did your parents actually want you to? If so, how badly? And is that more or less important than being tired?
If it really has NOTHING going for it and it's only bringing you pain - tsh! Yeah, quit!
G'luck.
